四季彩4は濃緑色　常緑性の強健なキリンソウです。耐候性の高い太い茎を持ち直立で最大50ｃｍの高さで日陰を作り地面や屋上を冷やすセダムに代わる持続可能な耐候性緑化品種です

Shikisai 4 is a dark green evergreen Phedimus . It is a sustainable, weather-tolerant greening alternative to sedum with thick, weather-resistant, upright stems that provide shade up to 50 cm high and cool grounds and rooftops.

Sikisai 4   Seedling registration application No34723の特徴の一つに「乾燥・耐候性に優れ、50cmまで直立して成長」「濃緑色葉が新鮮に映る」がある。

四季彩４は強健な品種で茎が太く直立する事から倒れにくく、刈取がしやすい特徴が有る。屋上緑化や道路緑化などメンテナンスがあまりされない箇所、遠景から見られる環境に適した品種です。

One of the features of Sikisai 4 Seedling registration application No34723 is “excellent dryness and weather resistance, grows upright up to 50cm” and “dark green leaves look fresh”.

Shikisai 4 is a robust variety with thick stems that stand upright, making it difficult to fall over and easy to cut. This variety is suitable for areas that require little maintenance, such as rooftop greening and road greening, and environments that can be seen from a distance.

キリンソウの直立型、開張型ほとんどの品種で剪定メンテナンスが必要である。

特に市場で販売されているほとんどの種が大型種であることから、剪定は必ず必要なメンテナンスであり、市販品種の茎は成長後倒れるもしくは曲がり枝となり枯損するため景観が悪くなり、枯れ枝が倒れ新芽を覆い新芽の生長に悪い影響が出る

２０２３年現在市販品種で剪定メンテナンスフリーのキリンソウの販売はされていない。

唯一、剪定メンテナンスが少ない品種は、四季彩７が該当する。

四季彩７は曲がり枝のほふく性品種で高さが15cm程度の為剪定が不要です、ひでり耐候性も５０日耐性を継続しており市場投入が期待される。

Most breeds of upright and open Phedimus  require pruning maintenance.

In particular, since many of the varieties sold in the market are large-sized, pruning is essential maintenance. With commercial varieties, the stems fall after growth, the branches wither and wither, which deteriorates the scenery, and the dead branches fall and cover the new shoots, which adversely affects the growth of new shoots.

As of 2023, there are no pruning maintenance-free Phedimus  on the market.

Shikisai 7 is the only variety that requires less pruning management.

“Shikisai 7” is a creeping variety with twisting branches, with a height of about 15 cm, so it does not require pruning.It is expected to be introduced to the market because it maintains drought resistance for 50 days.
